HANAMI PRUNUS CORONA
Hanami Prunus Corona es una serie de grabados que toma como punto de partida la floración del cerezo, un motivo central en la cultura japonesa y objeto del ritual del hanami, la tradición de contemplar y celebrar la belleza efímera de las flores.
A primera vista, las imágenes evocan una escena serena: un árbol en flor y una figura que transita bajo su follaje, en un gesto íntimo y cotidiano. Sin embargo, esa aparente belleza encierra otra lectura: las flores se transforman en formas que remiten al virus, alterando el sentido de la escena y tensionando su significado. La serie propone un desplazamiento simbólico donde lo que tradicionalmente representa la fugacidad de la vida se vincula con una experiencia contemporánea atravesada por la incertidumbre y la amenaza. En este cruce, lo poético y lo inquietante conviven, dando lugar a una imagen ambigua que interpela la percepción. Las estampas están realizadas mediante técnicas de grabado, explorando el contraste entre lo delicado de la imagen y la carga conceptual que la atraviesa.

Hanami Prunus Corona is a printmaking series that takes cherry blossom as its starting point, a central motif in Japanese culture and the subject of hanami, the tradition of observing and celebrating the ephemeral beauty of flowers.
At first glance, the images evoke a serene scene: a flowering tree and a figure moving beneath its canopy in an intimate, everyday gesture. However, this apparent beauty contains another reading: the blossoms transform into forms that evoke a virus, altering the meaning of the scene and creating tension within its interpretation. The series proposes a symbolic shift in which what traditionally represents the transience of life becomes linked to a contemporary experience marked by uncertainty and threat. In this intersection, the poetic and the unsettling coexist, giving rise to an ambiguous image that challenges perception. The prints are produced using printmaking techniques, exploring the contrast between the delicacy of the image and its underlying conceptual charge.

Hanami Prunus Corona est une série de gravures prenant pour point de départ la floraison du cerisier, motif central de la culture japonaise et objet du rituel du hanami, tradition qui consiste à contempler et célébrer la beauté éphémère des fleurs.
À première vue, les images évoquent une scène sereine : un arbre en fleurs et une figure qui traverse son feuillage dans un geste intime et quotidien. Cependant, cette beauté apparente contient une autre lecture : les fleurs se transforment en formes rappelant un virus, modifiant le sens de la scène et en complexifiant l’interprétation. La série propose un déplacement symbolique où ce qui représente traditionnellement la fugacité de la vie se relie à une expérience contemporaine marquée par l’incertitude et la menace. Dans ce croisement, le poétique et l’inquiétant coexistent, donnant naissance à une image ambivalente qui interroge la perception. Les estampes sont réalisées en techniques de gravure, explorant le contraste entre la délicatesse de l’image et sa charge conceptuelle.
